Apparently I haven't got enough memory to compile from source. Really I just need the .so - is it out there anywhere?

What is useless? Comment regarding compilation issues that other users might have as well? And I did not noticed that is strictly forbidden by forum rules to reply to a couple of months old topic. It is not about age, but about value.
